Acuario Bar

Buenos Aires, Argentina

“On the ground floor of the historic Casa Bonet building, at the corner of Suipacha and Paraguay, Acuario is born— a natural wine and cocktail bar that reinterprets the urban experience through a cultural lens. Conceived as a meeting point for artists, creatives, and the curious, Acuario blends aesthetics, history, and hospitality into a contemporary and authentic proposal.

The bar inhabits an emblematic space of Argentine modernism, designed by architect Antonio Bonet in the 1930s. Without altering the strength of the original building, Acuario reimagines it through a subtle, cinematic intervention: a stainless-steel bar, a blue velvet sofa designed by the owners themselves, silver details by artist Dani Basso, and an atmosphere that turns routine into ritual.

The wine list focuses on natural and low-intervention labels, sourced exclusively from small local producers. The cocktail program combines refined classics with signature creations, and the kitchen offers a selection of tapas, bistro-style dishes, and nods to traditional bodegón cuisine— ideal for sharing over drinks.

Acuario is open Monday through Friday, from 5 or 6 pm until 1 am, attuned to the rhythm of Buenos Aires’ Microcentro, right at the moment when office life winds down and the night begins. The best time: l’heure bleue, that instant when the city shifts pace, the lights turn on, and everything becomes possible.

A bar with an artistic soul in the heart of Buenos Aires. A space to connect, discover, and toast”.
