R16 Building

Punta del Este, Uruguay
“Cantegril, a neighborhood characterized by single-family houses and pine and eucalyptus forests, is defined as a place for permanent living due to its proximity to shops, schools, the peninsula, and the calm-water beaches of La Mansa. It develops north of Av. Roosevelt and extends to the southern edge of Maldonado.
In this classic Punta del Este neighborhood, R16 rises as a building that understands its surroundings—light and transparent. This allows all units, regardless of orientation, to enjoy unobstructed views of the pines and beaches. The expansive green mantle offered by the area is a quality the project seeks to preserve.
The building is laid out with order. The apartment units, with full-length glass façades and terraces, benefit from abundant natural light, privacy, and protection from Punta del Este’s climate.
A generous entry plaza and landscaped gardens invite residents to leave the city behind. A café, swimming pool, and bicycle parking provide essential services that support an urban lifestyle. On the rooftop, two large barbecue areas, a coworking space, gardens, and a lookout point complete the communal amenities.
The building includes two basement levels and eleven floors: the access level, nine apartment levels, and the rooftop lookout. It offers a total of 68 parking spaces and 68 units consisting of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments”.
